Gambling is not really bad as we thought but due to the manner in which some people are using is what makes it look unhealthy,and yeah, before a guy will think of going into gambling he or she is supposed to be fully prepared to face whatever outcome he will get because you might be gambling responsibly from the starting point but there is a certain stage were you start limiting from gambling responsibly so is better not to even look into gambling because gambling is very addictive, and also very hard to be control.
Gambling has more negative effects that can ruin your future and finances than positive ones. As you stated in your last sentence, gambling is highly addictive, and perhaps only a small percentage of people can become wise and responsible gamblers. I myself have never encountered a wise gambler around me. Most gamblers here are poor but want instant riches, and their choice is gambling. Ironically, even when they suffer heavy losses, lose their jobs, families, and futures, they still gamble because, for them, gambling is fun and the only way to make money quickly.
