Trafford is an extremely promising young goalkeeper who played 45 games for Burnley last season and kept 29 clean sheets at he is only 22 yo.
It seems that Guardiola has finally found a replacement for Ederson, but decided not to buy a ready-made goalkeeper, but a young one with prospects for years to come. The length of the contract is not yet clear, but I think it will be at least five years, given the player's prospects.

I thought his buy back clause was around £40 million I just surprised to sealed £27 million, I will still check on this when I see the full contract. Trafford was impressive for Burnley as he actually conceded just 16 goals last season in the championship. Well it will be different ball game for him in the EPL because he will face a different and a more difficult opponents who are not that of championship qualify. For now, as Manchester has completed his buy back, it's best the loan him out to a top flight team for him to gain more experience because he needs it. Since he is Ederson's replacement, he needs to gather more experience.
