If no other player had gone to the Saudi League instead of Cristiano Ronaldo, then his transfer would never have been discussed so much and people would not have known so much about this league. Ronaldo has paved the way for the Saudi League and many other big stars have followed that path, including Neymar, Karim Benzema, Sadio Mane and many other big stars. Now these big stars of Europe may be coming to the end of their careers, but in a few years, we will see young footballers choosing the Saudi League as their preferred league.
It's too far-fetched to discuss, and it's unlikely that young footballers would choose the Saudi Arabian League as their league of choice. The Saudi Arabian League isn't as competitive as the top European leagues, and the competition in the Asian Champions League isn't as exciting as the European Champions League. Playing in the top European leagues remains the pinnacle of a footballer's career. Unless their goals in football have changed, and they're no longer focused on career advancement but rather on financial gain, they'll likely choose to play in the Saudi Arabian League, as Saudi clubs offer higher salaries.
