I was reading through forum posts as usual and then I saw a post in Bitcoin discussion thread that the person was asking about the biggest Bitcoin giveaway in history and NotATether replied him that it was
Gavin's faucet I quickly clicked it and saw he was giving out 5 Bitcoin for free and this thing happened in 2010 when Bitcoin had no value now just imagine how much that 5 Bitcoin is now, you have calculators you can calculate it using the current Bitcoin price,
right now no one can give that number of Bitcoin for free to just a random person it's very difficult for such things to happen now. Then there where people that got the 5 free Bitcoin distributed by Gavin's faucet and some may have just decided to hold and now is something very valuable.
Gavin's faucet gave out those Bitcoin when it was valueless meaning that if it had value of $20 as at then, he wouldn't have given it to them. Maybe he just did that to spread the information about Bitcoin to people just a way of promoting Bitcoin. I guess he would be regretting by now if he's alive. How are we sure those guys he sent those Bitcoin took it seriously? If proper research is made, I don't think those guys that recieved those Bitcoin could HODL it till date. It's either they may have lost access to it or sold it when it gained a little value, or some would have been dead now without revealing their seed to their loved ones.
also telling everyone here that a time will come when Bitcoin will more difficult to get than it is now Because of it's high price and wider adoption so be consistent and accumulate as much as you can and then hold.
Bitcoin wil not be expensive to the extent that people can't afford it, Bitcoin will be affordable but the value you get for same price you got some years back will not be thesame. Let's take for example around 2012, 1 Bitcoin was $1 dollar but now if you want to buy 1 Bitcoin with $1, your value will be 0.000008
BTC instead of 1 Bitcoin.
