@notblox1 this is not in bad faith, but since you were trying to reach out to them to find out if they were open to sponsoring a community event. They have a right to be paranoid and ask questions instead of just accepting anything that comes their way. Who knows how many other random users send them PMs every day.
This is very unprofessional behavior, and I know there are many scam accusations against them, but now they proved they don't care at all about bitcointalk community.
The last statement wasn't necessary, though. It feels more like extortion from another point of view. It's like you were okay with them until they refused to honour your wish, and now all of a sudden they are something else.
The good thing is they didn't tag you or anything like that, so I don't think it's not good to create a mountain out of such an issue, especially if the PMs were unsolicited. This is just my piece of thought.
