Indonesia doesn't have any government support for gambling regulations, in fact the government prohibits gambling in our country. Indonesia also doesn't have big paycheck on average (latest data is $213 per month). But our country has a high gambling rate than our neighboring countries, unique isn't it?
With all the uniqueness of our country, I feel all the data is less relevant to us. IDK what the problem is that's causing it, but poverty is certainly a strong factor.
I am not surprised that despite the fact that gambling is prohibited in your country, it's still recording a very high rate of gambling activities. The government is the one losing here because the people will always find a way to gamble online either using VPN or crypto casinos. I am glad the government is not interfering in taxes generated from gambling, even as they are not fulfilling their duties and responsibilities as a government. Some governments legalise gambling but fail woefully in playing their own role even though they are generating revenue from taxes.
