As the questions says, when do you stop? your point of no return?
a. at least double your money, then stop
b. you only stop when you have lost all your bankroll money and then blame the casino?
c. or you are a superstitions gambler, when you have signs like losing 3 straight in a row, then you quit because you know that you're having a bad luck
d. you stop when you are at least break even
I didn't include chasing your losses as obviously you might to continue.
I will rather exit before exhausting my bankroll than go beyond it. I actually trained my mind to be disciplined about gambling because I know that it's disadvantages are very negative.
I don't see any options above. But I agree with @Kelward that gambling has more negative impacts, so stop as soon as possible and don't wait until your budget is exhausted. If you stick to a budget and then stop when you reach your limit, you're not making any progress in your financial management or your emotions regarding gambling. What I mean is, a wise gambler should keep their budget as small as possible, to the point where they only gamble with winnings and never withdraw them. A friend of mine, who was once a gambling addict, implemented this, and it changed his life for the better. He deposited just a few dollars and played with the smallest bets. The following month, he never set a gambling budget again because he never ran out of money in his account. Now, he's quit gambling completely, and he believes the biggest win from gambling isn't a temporary break, but a complete stop.
