"It's good to learn from others, so you don't have to learn expensive lessons yourself"

I read this quote long ago, and I have been learning from others ever since  Grin

I know people irl who destroyed themselves/their families by gambling activities, there is this story of Mahabharta [1] where king Yudhisthira was led to ruins by gambling — so what saved you from doing stupid in gambling?

The last two parts describe the one vice and addiction of the virtuous king Yudhishthira – gambling. Shakuni, encouraged by Duryodhana, mocks Yudhishthira and tempts him into a game of dice. Yudhishthira bets everything and loses the game, leading to the eventual exile of the Pandavas.

When you say stupid things do you mean borrowing money to gamble, selling properties, stealing etc and if that is what you meant then my reason for not borrowing and selling properties is because I know winning in gambling is not guarantee and not certain so that Is why I decided to stay off from that. But as for stealing I don't steal and I can not do that no matter  how broke I am but I can never be broke. Gambling is a game of luck so anyone who intend to borrow or sell properties is making a very big mistake they will leave to regret.
