He just went brrrr after Covid and England play ridiculous amount of tests so there is good possibility of him breaking Sachin's record, all he have to do is stick for 3 more years. If not wrong he only need 2200ish runs.
Joe Root has played 43 test matches and 43 innings less than Sachin Tendulkar until now. Root is 2512 run away from Sachin's record. He is just 43 years old now. I expect him to play at least 3 to 5 years more in test format. Therefore, Joe Root has a big opportunity to break the test runs record of Sachin.
Anyway, India is going to lose the 4th test match for sure. Ben Stokes might play in Bazball style today to increase the lead quickly. The pitch could be a bit difficult for batting from today. Hopefully, India will manage to avoid the innings defeat and give a decent target.
