And more on the mentality side of Ben Simmons, he should really be focusing on his game if he wanted to stay in the NBA. We all know what happened to him in Philly and it seems that he can't get over with it. It's like it's playing in his mind, although in the beginning he was not like that, he has been putting great numbers and even compare to Lebron before. So if he can get over that hump then he will be a good addition to the Celtics team. He can still ball and pass but he should have his confidence back. He was decent in Clippers but he wasn't given enough time though to developed that self-confidence. He is also known to be a good defense, so that is also a big plus for the Boston Celtics.

It's unlikely Ben can improve his skills and become mentally stronger to be in demand among NBA teams. In fact, he ruined his own career in the NBA. Looking at his stats last season, I think he will play a couple more seasons for minimum salary and then finish his career in the NBA.

Actually, I don’t understand why he still keeps being paid for doing nothing. Clearly his mind is not ready anymore to play on NBA due to the severe back injury rehabilitation that haunt him mentally and physically.

I think he should just retired or play on lower league that will help him boost his mental strength when he once gain self confidence.

It's because he might want to continue with his career as a player and still earn millions. Yes, as per our observations, his mind is not in the game already. And it's more on his mentality that really cause his downturn in the league. And I do agree, he created this issue on himself with the Sixers. But if there are teams that really still saw his potential to be coming off the bench and provided some scoring or ball distribution then there will be teams willing to get him. But as far as getting back to his former self? I doubt it, unless he really was able to forget everything and started from scratch and play that hard again and gain his self confidence back.
