But what we can also do is to:
1. Educate ourselves about these scams
2. Do more of digital literacy advocacy online in our local dialects
3. Report scam accounts once you recognize one because we need more voices to protect the powerful reputation behind crypto in our lives.
This is good. Maybe some people will be saved from it with these.
Although, I have noticed that if some people are not scammed, they will not listen until they are scammed. I advised one of my nieces about a particular scam, but when he went to school, she was still scammed. But right now, she has learned her lesson.
Second, good to education but another thing is that some people also will not be lucky but be scammed because the education did not get to them.
It's funny how some people will not listen until they are scammed too, but thats just the truth. Just like you pointed out about your niece who after been warned aforhand but later got scammed at school. It's just like that and it's an everyday occurrence. But see the red flags, vividly before them, but the ignore. Apart from the reg flags, people who have experienced such before also warns, but they wouldn't listen..at the end, it turns had I known. Lol.
I will like to say that people really want to level up financially, and thus, are blinded with such hopes and fail to think properly and critically analyse the opportunity presented before them before taking a positive step of investment. Poverty is a disease! Secondly, some too like adventures. They want to get a first hand knowledge about it. Some are even ready for the negative outcome if it happens. So them no really send if E crash or Na scam, them won just run am to see the outcome, if E work, them smile, if E no work, the frown and learn Thier lesson too. Different kind of people just dey sha.
Emotional feelings too Na another bait d scammers dey use. Once them capture ur emotions, come make you feel say if u no do dis tin, Na u don urself, Mata don finish. U go rush go find money to run am.
But the truth be told, nobody would be happy if he/she loses money to any of those scam stuffs. So the thing still remains, everyone be very careful. If you mush partake, get a proper analysis. Even after analysing, and you want to invest or whatever it maybe, don't go with full assurance that it must pay off, else, when it crashes, you die. You must also prepare for the negative too so that if it eventually turns bad, you can still encourage yourself and move on, afterall, life itself is everyday risk.
