I recently hit a crazy multiplier x5601 on Sweet Bonanza. Just a small bonus buy and ended up winning $400 after the x1000 bomb dropped and hit. I’ve been enjoying it since then, though I don’t spend a lot of hours playing.
But ever since that win, it kinda feels like I’m slowly giving the money back. Been losing around $10 a day for the past week. I’m still in profit, but honestly, I’m starting to lose the excitement. The game doesn’t feel the same anymore.
Well, everything seems to be happy until you slowly realize that the more you stay and spend on a gambling website, the more money you would lose.
Statistically speaking, the house will always win due to the presence of house edge. So even if you did won a hefty amount of money in one of your slot games, if you continue to play slots and test out your luck, chances are that you would most likely exhaust it before you could even win a jackpot again.
It's problematic when a big win feels like a big story, with a continuation sure to follow. But slots don’t create a logical plot. A win can be compared to a lightning strike: bright and sudden, and you shouldn’t expect it to happen again.
Congrats on your win — may it leave a joyful mark in your heart and be a good reason for smart choices.
I can relate to this. All these new images, lights and sounds when you least expect it, everything exploding and new slots appearing, to explode again, and a multiplication after another... Once you see it, it is impossible not to feel the urge to keep looking for it (it happens, after all!), and that's where you need to be able to reason and control your impulses, knowing that you'll probably never see it again.
This is exactly the reason on why gambling creates this sense of illusion where there is delayed loss. Meaning, the more time you spend in gambling, the more chances that the house would win on their end.
