Having a positive mindset in gambling might help you stay calm and make better choices but it doesn’t actually increase your chances of winning. Gambling is mostly based on luck and no mindset can change the odds.

Staying positive can help you avoid chasing losses or making emotional bets though. So while it won’t make you win more it might help you lose less or enjoy the experience more.

Agreed, mindset matters, however we cannot win only by thinking positively, its 100% right? it may only help us to handle the loss.
Yes, the behaviours to play positively, like setting the boundaries, being honest and self-aware, could help to reduce the loss, even if we control the risk of addiction.
Also, being optimistic could only help us to gamble responsibly, but there is no way avoid losses by only being optimistic. The main cause of addiction lies in brain chemistry, inability to control impulsive behaviour, and cognitive biases, like to think of controlling random outputs, and not only the attitude. Yes, a positive mindset can help us to be disciplined, but if we have to reduce the risk, we have to know about such biases, set firm limits, and take proper treatment if required.
