Manchester City bought Trafford from Burnley for £27 million, according to Fabrizio Romano.
https://x.com/FabrizioRomano/status/1948680616796459433Trafford is an extremely promising young goalkeeper who played 45 games for Burnley last season and kept 29 clean sheets at he is only 22 yo.
It seems that Guardiola has finally found a replacement for Ederson, but decided not to buy a ready-made goalkeeper, but a young one with prospects for years to come. The length of the contract is not yet clear, but I think it will be at least five years, given the player's prospects.
I don’t know much about this young goalkeeper but his stats are so impressive, 45 games and 29 clean sheets obviously explains why Guardiola has opted for him and for a fee of 27million I think this is good business. Manchester City seem to have successfully moved towards life after Ederson with this signing.
Yeah that's absolutely right !!!
James Trafford is such a fantastic goalkeeper like his positioning, reflexes, and handling is outstanding. So definitely his move towards Manchester city will bring up some good progress to the team because just like you said that he capped 19 clean sheets in 45 matches which I think quite impressive. Thus far his age is also too young like he is just only 22 years and I am pretty obvious that Manchester City will keep him for the rest of his career. Ederson often makes mistakes, and because of this, Manchester City faced a lot of difficulties in the previous season, even getting knocked out of the UEFA Champions League and also performing poorly in the league.
Pep is a great coach, he signs the player after seeing the player's specificity, and Pep Guardiola has also signed James Trafford after seeing the specificity, and therefore this signing will definitely be great.
