I know the season is not close to when we'd be hearing or seeing managers using words to confuse their opponents and this very one I can't say for what is what but it seems like Amorim has already started making plans for mind games before the start of next campaign. What does he mean by what he said? What's your take on this very one?
There are some people that would say such things and I'd classify it as a mind game but I don't count Amorim as one of them. That was how he made a similar statement late last season and what happened, they finished in the 16th spot. Man UTD have just secured two players and with how unsettled the club- player relationship is, I guess we'd see his proclamations come to pass. Its amazing how he was a GOAT in the Portuguese league when he managed Sporting but can't make anything of his present club, instead he's been more harsh and pessimistic. There's a difference between been realistic and a pessimist but it's more of a pessimistic mindset he's having.
I completely agree with you concerning how he handles and says things concerning the club Manchester United and the players. I feel he is not in the right position to take the club to where they would like to be if not things won't have been the way they are now. Coming out to say the club he's managing will suffer shows that he can't even try or do anything should incase it happens no one should blame him and I remember when he uttered similar statement during the end part of last season like you said, it shows a man who has given up and can't wait to leave the club. One would wonder if this was the same manager who managed Sporting CP and made them unstoppable, him being a GOAT in the Portuguese league shows that the EPL is bigger than he can imagine and he can't bring that force of dominance to the EPL, to be acting like one of those managers from the newly promoted side to the EPL.
