If I were a Manchester United fans I would be very disappointed with the manager for saying this sort of rubbish. When other club managers are really saying positive things about their team here we are with Manchester United. As a manager that has identified what is going to make you suffer during this season, why don't you fix it now. You are getting the players you want to build your team with, yet you making excuses already. What nonsense.
He is a young coach and only got success in Sporting Lisbon and his success is less than what Andre Villa Boas got with Porto years ago. We knew that coach moved from Porto to Chelsea and he failed in Chelsea and later failed in Tottenham Hotspur.
It's not sort of negative thinking of management capability or prediction about probability of success of Ruben Amorim in Manchester United but realistically, this head coach position in Manchester United is biggest challenge he has ever taken in his head coach career. There is big risk of failure for Ruben Amorim in Manchester United and his words somewhat show how he has been struggling in handling against expectation and pressure on him.
It wouldn't be wrong to say that Sporting had a fantastic season with Izban and won the championship thanks to him. However, the Premier League is a completely different level. Many managers in the past have won their own leagues but failed to compete in the Premier League despite being very good. Ten Hag, Amorim's predecessor, is one such example. Perhaps Manchester United truly needs an experienced manager, as they say. It's not wise to take risks with a manager.
