Who says it's mind games? This guy knows that they are going to struggle this upcoming season just as you and I knows, he is not blind to the fact that Manchester united are playing when compared to other top teams. By looking at other top teams how they are very active in the transfer in strengthening their teams, you will wonder why Manchester united aren't doing the same considering how terrible they perform last season and how they finished, so Amorin knows what he is saying, he is not sugar-coating anything here, he is just say it as it is.
You might call it a mind game if the league is already underway, not now that they are haven't even started.
If truly he understands his job as the manager of Manchester United instead of granting interviews and saying all kinds of rubbish why not mount pressure on the management of Manchester United to fund him so that he will buy more good players to strengthen his team to avoid the suffering for his team next season. There is no mind game in what he is saying the team is in bad shape every body understands that but can't he buy more players to see that the team move from bad to good? If Amorim is not capable of getting the job done he should resign for a capable manager to take over the team.
United is not ready to spend more money after the huge amount that they spent last season with no profits but a waste. How do you expect them to be moved by Amorim pressure. It's only if United offload some of their players that they can use the funds to buy new players for replacement. Amorim cannot work and succeed without good players. I wouldn't blame him for that. However, let's see how their performance will look like next season.
