Users on the BitcoinTalk forum traded 5,050 bitcoins for $5.02 via PayPal, making the first price mediated through an exchange a bargain basement price of $0.00099 per bitcoin. In other words, the price was about one-tenth of one cent.

Since you mentioned the history of Bitcoin transactions in 2009, you may be familiar with some of them. It would have been beneficial to mention them in light of that history. Although it may have been a long time ago, they are no longer on the forum.
