Most GMO foods produced are for importation to other countries. Countries who import food they can grow in their country tend to practice GMO and another reason is to enhance the food they  produce in the lab so they sell more in the trade market than other countries making the same supplies.

In Nigeria we produce, more than 60% of the food we eat. Only few are imported even when we can also produce them here too. Meaning, I believe our government will not agree to GMO in Nigeria.

You are right about this because those countries who are not exporting food tent to eradicate the use of this GMO because they are only the ones to consume from what they produced but for those countries who majorly focused on export there is no way they would banned it but however they would only allowed the natural one to be used by the masses while they use the GMO products to export to other countries with even more higher prices and as a country like ours there is no way we could determine if those products are produce using GMO because we always thought that no food is harmful.
