As I mostly played baccarat games, one myth that I wish would die is "If I lose 5 times in a row, I’m ‘due’ for a win!".
This is a common thing among those who use martingale strategy, because they believe that if they have lost 10 bets consecutively, they are going to win the 11th one, so with this hope, they keep doubling their bet so that they can recover whatever has been lost so far, but at the end, they lose everything because a loss streak doesn't have a limit and it might even make you lose everything you have if you are making the mistake of doubling your bet after each loss.
I know a guy who thinks that he knows the pattern of the Baccarat game by looking at the previous results, so he looks a few of the previous results, and then says whether the banker or the player is going to win in this round, and since some of his bets work out because we know it's random and one side has to win and the side you choose might win coincidentally, but he then becomes more confident, and starts believing that his trick is working. He has lost so much money because of this, but he still doesn't understand that it's nothing but a myth.
