How does a team that usually wins the league exceeds expectations for winning what they usually win? They literally have no rival in the Bundesliga and it was a thing of joy to most fans that Bayern Munich failed to win the league two seasons ago and it was just a matter of time before they reclaim it back again if which they did last season, no surprise at all because we all expected it.

Those who found joy in the fact that Bayern Munich lost the league title two seasons ago probably did because at a point the league was beginning to feel boring having one team continually win the title every season without any other team having a test of the victory and it turns out that a least expected team now denied them of the trophy making it even.more interesting and I wish it will continue that way whereby the league becomes actually unpredictable, this is the same thing seen in the French League which made it got the nickname as the farmers league.
Many hope for a repeat of such a surprise, so the Bundesliga trophy race won't be boring anymore. Leverkusen broke Bayern Munich dominance in unexpected fashion, going undefeated throughout the season, which surprised many. Perhaps other Bundesliga contenders will be able to do the same again in the future, but for now, I see Bayern Munich as still very resilient in maintaining their dominance.
In my opinion, Dortmund and Leverkusen have quite good squad depth, but not as luxurious as Bayern Munich. Bayern Munich financial strength means the gap in the Bundesliga is still very pronounced, which at first glance is very similar to the situation in Ligue 1. Next season, Bayern Munich will likely be successful in defending the trophy again.
