Most GMO foods produced are for importation to other countries. Countries who import food they can grow in their country tend to practice GMO and another reason is to enhance the food they produce in the lab so they sell more in the trade market than other countries making the same supplies.
In Nigeria we produce, more than 60% of the food we eat. Only few are imported even when we can also produce them here too. Meaning, I believe our government will not agree to GMO in Nigeria.
I agree with what you just said , in my own opinion this GMO are generally produced for countries that lack agricultural food , it's certain that the white people tend to create artificial food which as op said is not a good thing .the human body tends to react to all the food because of the chemicals that are used in creating them and that makes them unhealthy.
But for all it's worth it is certain that things like this doesn't reach Nigeria , we haven't been able to eat the once we produce whats the point of introducing now food.
