The last big money buy for Real Madrid was Bellingham and between the summer transfer of 2020 till date, Real Madrid has spent a total of €303.5 million on purchase of players. That's to say, in the last 5 years, Real Madrid spent this amount of money and had sales of players within this same period at €301.35 million. I'm just marveled at this because before now Real Madrid was known for spending big but now seems it has changed and it's the other teams that are the big spenders now.
Real Madrid isn't what it used to be; a lot has changed at the team. Their economy is now based on making money, and they seem to be trying to buy players at low prices and sell them back at high prices. Their transfers haven't been very large in recent years anyway, but this season they're acting a bit more generous and making new signings. If they're going to pay over 50 million for a player now, it's probably to sell them for more. I think Dean Huijsen will be sold for 100 million in two or three seasons
Real Madrid has never had financial issues the last time I remember and they had experienced growth due to the trophies they won in the last 5 years so right now it they have decided to start making profit with buying and selling of players like the Dortmund team you mentioned I hope they don't sell their star players like Dortmund and start getting the issues of underperformance and not being able to win trophies. If Real Madrid could focus on the business and still be dominating in the game and continue winning trophies then it's a good one for the team.
