I think Real Madrid still have quite a lot of problems. Just remember the match against PSG when they conceded four goals in one game. We saw that Real madrid performed well from the first match in the FIFA Club World Cup. But when they faced PSG, their defense suddenly collapsed. After conceding goals quickly , Madrid's players could not create any chance of comeback. It seemed that there was a lack of confidence among the players.
It does appear that Madrid hasn't fully recovered, especially in defense. The players haven't been cohesive when facing fast attacks from opponents, and the defeat to PSG will be a lesson for Xabi to evaluate ahead of the new season. I also believe that Madrid's squad actually has many quality players, but Xabi needs to develop a new strategy when facing opponents of equal strength.
Real Madrid are fine when they face weaker teams, but when they meet a worthy opponent, the players seem to lose their character and lose confidence, as was evident in their loss to PSG.
