This is due to the fact that Manchester United got it wrong somewhere after the departure of Alex fargason united failed in investing in players as they were more concerned about bringing already made players instead of investing inyoung player from their academy plus bringing coaches that doesn't have any future goal to the club.

When I try to analyse United's problem, I think the issue was that after Ferguson, there was no voice the club could listen to. Nobody in the club commanded that respect, and the ones that commanded some respect weren't good at their job. When Alex Ferguson was around, he made all the decisions that affected the team. He picked the kind of players and coaching staff he wanted. He determines the hierarchy of the team. He decides how to discipline them and the environment and atmosphere around the club and his team were all on him, so it was like it was a properly run club, but it was not. He was like the core of club pulling everything together and making everybody look like they're so good at their jobs.

When he left, he exposed the club because what was holding the club together had left and everything crumbled.
Past players felt they had a say, fans had factions, and all had a say; players were forming clicks and getting the feeling that some are treated better than some (Herera said the Engling players were treated better). An environment like that would always fail, especially when you have board and executive that are not very good at their jobs.
I don't know where they will go  from here, but I don't think manchester United will make it back to the top any time soon.
