How can a real gambler get out of his addiction??
Getting out of any kind of addiction is not a simple process, just like other addictions the gambling addict needsa  few months to recover from it at the very least.

First step is the one who is addicted should be willing to quit, if the person haven't realized that then it is not possible by other ways. Then they may need an assessment from a professional to to know their severity of their addiction.
Great, avoiding that area that got you disadvantaged is the first ride on healing, so the gambler should be ready to quit first before he can proceed to the healing process from addiction.

Then based on it, the process varies.

If they are just getting started - use self-exclusion tools and distract themselves with other hobbies that take away their free time.
Self-exclusion isn't a best solution since addiction can still go ahead and create a new account in another casino and continue their activity and I have also heard from some complaints over the net that some casinos allowed people on self-exclusion to play, the gambler must decide by themselves to avoid any gambling platform until a certain range of time. If the gambler cannot decide to quit for some time, they are not yet ready to fight addiction.

If they are already addicted - support group or even rehab centres will be the only solution along with the emoptional support from other people.
The gambler would be very lucky if his country has these kind of provisions for addiction recovery, in a country like mine the responsibility of rehabilitating such a person is left for his family and friends
