I totally agree with you on this, even in history, it mostly doesn't end well when an outgoing person handpicks his successor. I once read an article about Ferguson picking Moyes. How could he pick an inexperienced coach to manage a team like that. Moyes has been coaching Everton for almost a decade if not more and ends up mid table, how on earth did he think such a man was suitable for the Manchester United job back then! So I agree with you when you said Ferguson was part of the problem.
I want to ask you is it David Moyes that is still coaching Manchester United till date? i don't really know why people always like to push blame on someone if things ain't going well. Even if Sir Alex Ferguson brought in Moyes as his successor and the club didn't find him capable enough to manage the team can't they sack him immediately? or does Sir Alex Ferguson has shares in Manchester United that he will make decisions for the club simply because he was a successful coach. Manchester United and their fans don't even have anyone to push blames on because the club mismanaged funds just because they are one of the richest clubs in England but they failed to build a solid team since Alex Ferguson left the club and now they are regretting the actions they took in the past when they signed players at expensive prices and payed them high salaries. The cut everything short, Alex Ferguson didn't contribute to the problem that Manchester United is facing now.
The answer is no, his not the one coaching the team currently. Sack him immediately you think? You still don't understand how the world works. Ferguson is a stakeholder and his renowned very much in the club. You think you can push aside someone that was recommended by him aside? Hell no, even till today, his opinion and advice will be taken if he wants to input. You still don't know the kind of power Ferguson holds in Manchester United. You think Sir Alex Ferguson is a fancy name in that club right?
