The teams with the highest chance of winning the title this season are Arsenal and Manchester City for me. I don't think Liverpool will show the same level of performance at all. As for Chelsea, they've never really been in a strong position in the league recently. Besides, there isn't any other team with real potential to become champions anyway. Manchester United or Tottenham? Another failure for them.
Those who don't believe in Arsenal might be very surprised at the end of the season. Because this year they've really built one of their best squads ever.
Arsenal has indeed continuously improved their squad depth. While they have consistently failed in several seasons, consistently finishing in second place, the team has never given up and continues to strengthen their squad, which was already strong last season. However, the team has been unlucky, and their players' mentality has sometimes weakened during matches.
Overall, though, Arsenal can be expected to return to being a title contender. And perhaps next season will be their season. As for Manchester City, I think they will indeed improve. However, one thing I'm concerned about is that the team has already released several key players. Although the team has brought in replacements, I don't think it will be the same. However, Manchester City's strength will remain one of the strongest.
Meanwhile, for Liverpool last season, Arne Slot simply continued the squad built by Jurgen Klopp. However, this season he has truly added depth to the Liverpool squad with several additions and subtractions. What's clear is that next season we will truly see a Liverpool squad rebuilt by Arne Slot. And we don't know if it will be better or not.
When you come second with almost 1,300 days lost to injury, it is about losing important players at the most inopportune times, whereas Liverpool (the winner) just managed to get 765 days lost. Arsenal are not purchasing players just to have fun. They are filling the very gaps that they lost last season (see: Zubimendi, Gyokeres, Madueke). This is the closest thing we have seen to the Invincibles since, well, the Invincibles. If they dodge another injury apocalypse, why shouldn't this be their year?
The "new City" might be the story of the season, though. Pep has grown tired of the 3-2-4-1 and now they are bringing in every young, dynamic, direct player. High risk, high reward, but also huge opening-week pressure. When the system clicks, they are likely to blow everybody up in the spring
