When someone cannot control their emotions in gambling then they become very addicted to it. While gambling you should remember that it is only for your pleasure never consider it as a means of earning money. Gamble with what you can afford to lose, never gamble with what you cannot afford to lose. When you come back there again to restore your lost money then you become very addicted. So if you consider gambling as a means of earning money then you are a real gambler, you find a way to control yourself.

How can a real gambler get out of his addiction??

What is your reason for gambling? Do you want to make money by gambling or do you gamble just for fun?

I gamble only for fun and I tend to have to keep reminding myself that it is only for entertainment.

This way, I get the same thrill from betting tiny amounts of money and I do not lie to myself about gambling being a get quick rich scheme or a method to get a steady income. As long as I keep myself to my own rules and my gambling loss/profit limits, there is nothing to worry about when it comes to losing money.

But my method requires a lot of self-discipline. Not everyone can handle it.

I appreciate your words ☺️. I think since you gamble for fun then your gambling will not be addictive because you can control yourself very easily and remind yourself that it is not a means of earning money but just for fun.

I think when someone gambles for fun then he needs a certain limit that he will never cross. ‌ When he loses his money according to his limit then he should stop it, which will help him stay away from addiction.
