I agree with you — inconsistency is maybe Arsenal's biggest problem and one of the reasons why they haven’t won anything in the last five years.
The main reason why Arsenal have been ending the season in second position is just inconsistency, Arsenal are always having chances to win the league title, but their performance is always dropping. Mostly Arsenal will start the season well, and everyone will think they will be able to win the premier league title that season, but before the season ends, you going to see that Arsenal will start losing matches that they are not suppose to lose, I don’t really know why thats always happening to Arsenal, but with the new signs which they just made, let’s hope next season is going to be a different season for them.
I think we are both seeing things from the same perspectives, arsenal always start every premier League season very well with good performance making people, especially their fans think that they will be able to win the premier League title do to how they started the reason, but towards the ending of the season they will start messing up losing matches they are not supposed to lose, they will look very unserious. At times I ask myself is it that they are been bribe to misbehave close to the end of every season or if they are under spire or something.
This is because they can't sustain their momentum that they use in starting the first time when the league first started and it's caused by lack of top experienced players that has the mental strength to carry on even when they are stressed out in the season this has been the missing link in the arsenal lineup let see this season what they can be able to do with the players that they have been able to get because arsenal problem has been sustainability
