Nobody said it's important. I just highlighted it because it was part of the programme of the NFF for the Super Falcons. It's part of football culture that champions will parade around a particular area where the fans will cheer them on. It's not compulsory but it's usually a beautiful and exciting experience.

Ivory Coast organised a parade for the male team when they won the current African Cup of Nations. Maybe the NFF want to make this win historical by adding the parade.

Organising a parade for the Falcons is not a bad idea, as a matter of fact, it gives them the joy of accomplishments and satisfaction and also, it motivates them to do more when they see their fans, supporters and well wishers cheering them up for the victory. Such parade is not too common in this part of the world unlike the west and Asian countries that do organise parades for their athletes after a victorious return.

However, even if they cancelled the initial parade, they could still fix a new date for the to do the parade as it is still not too long they returned home with the trophy and bedsides, it is rainy season so the weather wouldn't be that friendly but at most they have already attempted to do a parade which was put on hold as a result of the rain.
