Pep will certainly strive to bring Manchester City back to the title next season. If City fails again, Pep's reputation will suffer somewhat. Manchester City does appear to have made quite thorough preparations in the current transfer market. However, I still think De Bruyne's departure is quite unfortunate. I don't think the player brought in to replace him will necessarily be on par with De Bruyne. So, Manchester City could start to lose their strength in one area. But I think my concerns are overblown. Pep certainly knows what he's building at the club.
He will try his best to make them champions again but this season will be even more difficult with the preparations all teams are making. We have seen how Liverpool have been preparing and it seems they are looking to win league again next season. Arsenal on the other hand have gotten a striker they badly need and I now they can finally go for the title they badly want to win. Chelsea is also a team to look out for next season, their improvement have been immense and winning the FIFA Club World Cup have increase their chances of challenging for the league title now.
Manchester City have signed players but I hope they can live up to the standards that Kevin De Bruyne set and meet the teams expectations. Pep will try and rebuild a strong team but this season might be tough season for them.
