Correct me if i am wrong that during premier league history or at least on football modern era there was no promotion club who can get the title at their first season in this competition and last time mediocre club who can being an the champion is Leicester but unfortunately currently they playing at championship division and for Sunderland in the last few season this team can playing at premier league and relegated to championship division several times i think this proven that they were unable to playing consistent and i think it's too far to targetting the trophy for them because staying on premier league after promotion is realistic target but it's not gonna easy for Sunderland
Nobody is saying that promotion clubs will win the Premier League title in their first season of being promoted to the Premier League or saying Sunderland will win the Premier League title next season. I and Justbillywitt were only speculating that the 20 Premier League teams are favorites to win the Premier League title next season, and what I said in my previous post made Justbillywitt say that Sunderland could win the Premier League title if they are consistent in winning their matches in the Premier League, which I agree with because winning the Premier League title depends on how consistent a club is in winning matches in the Premier League.
It's possible but the chances are low given that the competition in the Premier league is tougher than what Sunderland would be expecting they have to give their all, I think something more than what Leicester City did in the 2015/16 season. If you notice, the big clubs in the EPL invested heavily to strengthen their depth this summer, which means that most of them now have a stronger squad than the previous seasons, it's not something that Sunderland would be able to keep up with, even if they maintain consistency for the first half of the season can they keep going till week 38? Remember they have the likes of Liverpool, Arsenal, Manchester City, Chelsea, Newcastle, Tottenham and the rest, how many big teams can they beat or draw home and away, well I won't doubt the possibility of them winning but my thought is that they won't win it.
