I agree with you that Man UTD were exceptional in yesterday's game, they literally destroyed the defense of Bournemouth making it look as if their opponents were amateurs. This is their second winning, won West Ham and now Bournemouth. Before the game, I thought that Bournemouth would present more challenge to them than the one West Ham did and considering how the Cherries stressed Man UTD last season, it further made me believe that the Red Devils won't get an easy one but with an early goal from a struggling Rasmus Hojlund, my confidence in Bournemouth started to drop.
It's interesting that Man UTD didn't slack in their pursuit for dominance after the first goal came in, rather more goals kept coming in and it made me wonder whether this their performance is like a prelude to what we'd see in the coming season or this is just a flash win.
Amorim and the Man UTD have just signed two players; Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbuemo. With what we have seen from Man UTD in these two games, do they need more players or are they fine with the squad they have at the moment.
It is normal for the game to be that way, these two teams gave us a switch of display in the sense that UTD played with so much dominance while Bournemouth played like a struggling Manchester United of last season. It is clear that Bournemouth will struggle and as for Manchester United they have this idea of always being serious in the preseason games but I won't say their opponent don't see this games they have played as nothing serious just that UTD are trying to prove something to the fans which I'm not buying at all, even the manager is not even sure how the next game would look like especially when they go head to head against Arsenal.
I just hope that when these guys Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbuemo start playing with the squad, the performance won't go back to what we all saw last season, it will be too bad because they're good players from what we saw last season and Man UTD will make them look like players that don't know their left from their right. For now I'd say Manchester United are still playing to stay consistent, rebuilding process and they still need an attacker to support Hojlund at least to mount a little bit of pressure on him to continue with whichever form he showed against Bournemouth.
