When surfer43 closed his pool (a shame, i know) difficulty dropped greatly and now you can get 2500 SKC per day with a R9 290... that's 0.005-0.0075 BTC daily (when selling low) which turns out to be around 0.15-0.225 BTC monthly... not bad for a "dead" coin (i just mined 10k in 4 days, 0.02 BTC)
