This test is important for India because they have to win this test to level the series otherwise they will lose this series. Indian batting lineup has to keep this in mind that their is no Bumrah in this test and that's why they need to give a good total in first innings. After 50 overs, Indian batting struggling in front of English bowling because 6 wickets have gone down and score is just 153 runs. The English side is also playing without their skipper and main all rounder i.e. Ben Stokes but his absence is not felt so far.
At this moment the Indian dressing room would be focusing more on saving the match rather than to win it. They are 171 for six wickets down. They need to play out this session without losing any more wickets and then start fresh on day 02. They shouldn't be looking too further, just need to play session by session and then maybe they may come back in the match. It's England who are dominating this match and they are looking favorites to win this too.
Ollie Pope is leading this game instead of Ben Stokes and what a start for him. Jofra Archer and Brydon Carse are also resting in this match still England has an upper hand.
