Algeria has criminalized all crypto-related activities, including mining and trading.
Offenders face prison sentences and heavy fines under the new law.
The legislation aims to protect the financial system and aligns with global anti-money laundering standards.

It's shameful that is it is coming from Africa which does not have stable government. If the Algerian government is very stable, and provides the basic needs of her citizens, unemployment is very minimal, there won't be a problem. You may be surprised that the citizens are left to cater for themselves just like my country, yet they are banning bitcoin.

How on Earth did they come up with this idea when countries like US is extremely involving in bitcoin? It is very pitiable. Before bitcoin, was there no scam, illegal dealings on arms and the rest of the things they claim bitcoin has done to them.

I have no fear because the wise Algerians will always have a way to bypass their ban. They can only hinder the unwised and the uninformed. As long as the internet exists in the country, people can hold bitcoin anonymously.
