Information reaching the social media about the recent decision made by the government in Algeria in Africa to have completely ban the use of cryptocurrencies in the country, this includes mining, selling and buying or making any form of payment in cryptocurrency including Bitcoin, while other countries are moving to adopt bitcoin, Algeria is reasoning the opposite way by placing a ban.
Information reaching the social media? this is funny anyways but i think we should not depend on news we see on social media alone, there should be a verifiable source that gives legit news. Instead of setting harsh laws why not they just say that anyone who is caught doing illegal transactions with cryptocurrency will be imprisoned. I know that crypto transactions are decentralized and anonymous but if the government suspects illegal transactions they can investigate it and probably unveil the person because even if an illegal transaction is done with bitcoin, the culprits can still be apprehended because there is no way they won't transfer the funds to an exchange wallet in other to convert it to Fiat, from there their identity will be known. Placing ban now that bitcoin and other cryptocurrency are experiencing increased growth is really cowardice from the Algerian government.
