It seems addicted gamblers find it very hard to quit, if not quitting forever taking a break is still difficult like op mentioned they see gambling activity as an earning means so taking a break might lead to more frustration while the main problem is addiction. I think addicted gamblers know what’s right and wrong, they know gambling with large amount of money is wrong but still they go ahead and gamble which clearly show they can’t stop even after losing big. I don’t know what’s the perfect solution how can an addict stop but, what’s best they should look into other fun activity like working, vacation etc. Gambling is meant to be fun not just making money well, I don’t just gamble for fun sometimes winning can be more fun although no hard feeling attached either lose or win.
