I heard someone saying that the Federal government should have used the money to develop the country I just laughed please let's change our mindset.
To we that's a big amount of money that the government are giving to our players that put the nation on the map but to them that isn't big. Most of them make more than that monthly because they're being paid weekly. BBN that's just a game show gives their winners more than that amount and other participants get something worth close to that amount too. The money isn't big but the government did put in some efforts in encouraging the girls to make us proud the next time they find themselves in similar situations. The reaction of people to this gift should tell you how people really are because irrespective of what you do, people will always complain therefore just do you always.
There is nothing wrong with the money that was given to them because this is one of the least things the government can do for these players. The money given to them is worth it to show appreciation to the players.
But this is not the first time the players have made the nation proud with their wonderful performance; also, the Super Eagles. I think it would be best if the government could honor these players by building world-class stadiums and starting to invest in football. It will not only be an advantage to these players but will also enable Nigeria to host bigger competitions.
Building a world-class stadium in Nigeria is a good idea, and I believe it is something we should have for a long time now, considering our capacity as giants of Africa, now anticipate that Nigeria will rank in the top 10 nations in the world for having world-class stadiums. Hosting bigger competitions will be risky due to insecurity in the country, Nigeria is unsafe to host bigger competitions, as you and I both know, which is why many people speak out against the super falcon rewards, everyone complaining about the money that was offered to them understands that those girls deserved it, but what's their pain is that what has the government done to show appreciation for the country's security agencies?
