I heard someone saying that the Federal government should have used the money to develop the country I just laughed please let's change our mindset.
To we that's a big amount of money that the government are giving to our players that put the nation on the map but to them that isn't big. Most of them make more than that monthly because they're being paid weekly. BBN that's just a game show gives their winners more than that amount and other participants get something worth close to that amount too. The money isn't big but the government did put in some efforts in encouraging the girls to make us proud the next time they find themselves in similar situations. The reaction of people to this gift should tell you how people really are because irrespective of what you do, people will always complain therefore just do you always.
You made a good point here, ordinarily, some may think the money is much, but anyone that is used to what these players are earning weekly and then convert what the government gave them to USD, we are going to see that its nothing much at all, not even more than a weekly earning or two weeks earning they make from foreign clubs, i only wish that they all utilized the money for something good and long lasting, because i learnt that some of these players at old age lack money to finance their self after being struck by ailment and no one cares about donating for them once they are no more playing.
Your right they should use this money very well because a hundred thousand dollars is a good money even over there in Europe and America but the president should be commended for these kind of rewards because these are what we have been clamouring for especially when it comes to the women because the super falcons are the most successful footballing team as far as Nigeria football is concerned both male and female
