Even if you are not earning $750,000 and you are not rich enough to put all your salary into investment yet, accepting bitcoin for your salary sounds a good deal. Some people are worried about the fluctuations in the market but as long as the employer gives you the equivalent amount of btc in usd, I think there should be no problems, am I not right? The good thing is if you are planning to put your salary in bitcoin to invest, you do not need to convert it into bitcoin since it was given to you in bitcoin already.
The mindset here is what is important because even if you were given your salary in Bitcoin but you don't have the mindset to hodl, you still aren't going to hodl. I have seen people get rewards in Bitcoin but immediately converted it to cash instead of hodling the Bitcoin knowing that in few years time, the value isn't going to remain the same instead increase. To invest in Bitcoin too you don't necessary have to receive your salary in Bitcoin, after receiving it in the usual way you do, you can always covert the appropriate amount that's comfortable to you to invest inside Bitcoin.
I share the same opinion with you. Although this might be advantageous to some persons who would seize the opportunity to DCA part of their salary, but some others will not see the benefit of these. The elderly people might find accepting bitcoin more challenging due to the fact that they are not technologically inclined and are not updated on some security tips they should follow to avoid losing their hard earned money to scammers, hackers and criminals.
Inasmuch as paying salaries in bitcoin is a good development, it should be a matter of choice for individuals to decide if they want it or not. Not everyone understands bitcoin and love it as much as we do.
