It's not about enjoying the loss. It's about enjoying the thrill due to the possibility of reverting the scenario, achieving a winning as consequence. Nobody likes losing, neither thinks it's fun, however, it's quite exciting to suddenly face a luck streak which bring profits back to you, after losing for a considerable length of time.
In most times, gamblers will just remain on the expectation, though, without being able to feel the pleasure of reverting a loss. And for them, it's already enough to continue gambling on long term. Since they can afford this hobby, I don't see problems at all.
I agree, it's mostly about the rollercoaster you get from your sessions and trying to turn it around while having a few dollars left makes losing situations entertaining. It's like being in one of those movies where you're against the odds, and all of a sudden, you're able to flip the situation with the help of sheer luck.
This is also why I always play small bets, so I don't overthink the situation as much if I do lose and easily move on to the next until I either burn all of my bankroll or crawl my way back up to where I started.
