Just wanted to share my recent experience because it seems like there might be big changes coming to how we gamble. As we all know, gambling in the Philippines is already widespread, and addiction has become common since it’s so easy to gamble through mobile apps. Even payment apps like GCash have added casinos to their platform, letting people bet with just a small minimum amount.

But earlier, I was surprised when I opened the app to gamble because it now required me to take a selfie before proceeding. I’m thinking this might be part of the government’s move to ensure minors can’t gamble. Do you think this is a good first step?

What do you think? If that's why they are asking for a selfie then it's not bad because kids shouldn't be gambling anyway, if you think otherwise then look at yourself as if you are a parent, will you allow your kids to expose themselves to such thing at a very small age? I don't see anything wrong wit this move, in fact it is necessary.

Gambling is ruining people's life, the government should be worried if they truly care about their citizens, it's only a gambler that's only looking at things from his own view won't understand what I am trying to say here, just because you want to gamble would you rather see other people get hurt when it can be prevented? Especially if they are kids.

Come to think about it, is selfie even enough? Maybe because it's just Gxash? What if the person have a baby face and yet they are adult? I don't think selfie is enough, documents or ID should be added, this is what a complete verification looks like.
