at least it allows governments to do something between “do nothing” and “ban everything”..
It's still trash mate. If during registration on a casino you have already gone through the kyc stage and submitted all necessary documents, why then will it be compulsory to take a selfie before playing your game? It makes no sense at all. And it's obvious the government are really pulling a lot of trigger. It's really going to be annoying for me because I won't have that time to always place my face on screen just because I want to gamble. I'd rather look for other casino and if they all decide to implement such, I'll just keep off completely..
There is no tangible reason to keep doing face verification anytime you want to gamble, that would be very tiring especially if you are in a public place, it will attract unnecessary attention to yourself. At registration they should tell you to do all the necessary KYC including face verification and allow you to gamble your money, maybe they can require you to repeat the verification quarterly or every half year but doing it everything you want to gamble is abnormal. I know that it wouldn't be a casinos wish to be giving their customers a hard time because they need patronage but it is mostly due to government regulations. If you don't like a casino's KYC requirements you can choose another that suits you.
