The problem does boil down to skepticism, which I think is quite reasonable because with Ten Hag's previous track record, I personally am also actually quite risky to see how Leverkusen will be.

Leverkusen in these 2 seasons looked very good by Xabi but being left in this season by Xabi and some of their key players and replaced by Ten Hag will certainly give a big doubt in this regard.

I just hope that Leverkusen can remain stable in terms of performance and even if there is a decline it is not as drastic as before because this could be a belief that Ten Hag is not that good at coaching if that happens. It is also a testament to Ten Hag that he can really prove himself that he is not a bad coach.

I don’t understand the problem that people say they have with Erik Ten Hag, Ten Hag had a difficult time at Manchester United and after getting a new contract again with a total new club people are still skeptical about his time here with majority already believing that he would fail at the club.

But let’s get the record straight here, Ten Hag won multiple titles at Ajax and after even moving to Manchester United he still won two trophies at the club that many said he had a poor record there. Ten Hag seriously has a very good track record of winning cups and if given the freedom to play his way I think he will be challenging for more titles at the club.
Isn't that normal? He was given a lot of freedom at Manchester United before but all Ten Hag did was have problems with a lot of their players including Sancho, Cristiano and a few other disputes although not as big as Cristiano and Sancho and they fell apart so it is only natural that there will be a lot of skepticism towards Ten Hag at Leverkusen. Being in the Eredivisie and the Bundesliga is a bit different as the Bundesliga in terms of level is currently in the top 5 best domestic competitions in Europe so perhaps this should be another consideration.

He's been successful at Ajax but on the other hand he's also tasted failure in bigger competitions before so I think with these conditions we'll obviously feel wary and even doubtful about Ten Hag's abilities in the end.
On the other hand for a new coach with new habits brought this will also be considered normal because we can see before for Kompany at Bayern is also the same or another case Slot at Liverpool last season.
