The number of rings isn't always indicative of a player being better than others. At the very least, because winning a championship depends not only on the skills of an individual player but also on luck. In fact, throughout the history of the NBA, there have been many excellent players who have achieved outstanding individual results but have not been lucky enough to win even one ring.
It is not, but that doesn't mean they wouldn't want it, or shouldn't want it. They can very well want it so it would make sense for Lebron to chase a ring again, however it wouldn't make sense to go to Warriors, or some team that may actually win the ring, not to a team that would be clippers and not win a ring even with Lebron.
It's really a different situation, this is why it makes more sense if they could definitely go focus on some where that may get him a ring. Looking at the current situation, Lebron at Lakers is better than Lebron at clippers, there is no really reason to move. I would say Lebron should wait out another year, he seems to have a decent team right now, got a big too, maybe they will do better this year.
