Probably some dumb morons who think there’s ‘sOmE oF tHoSe BiTc0rNz InSiD3
Maybe the person stole that is so damn broke and think about that there's hidden code attach inside on which he or they could get lots Bitcoins in that statue.
Guys, I don't know why you guys are thinking that the person or the people who had stolen the statue must be aware of Bitcoin and how valuable it is, or they would think that they can get Bitcoins out of the statue, when the reality is, since I'm assuming the statue was made of metal, that it was probably stolen by the homeless, or someone who probably didn't have any money to eat food, or to buy drugs, and they thought they could sell it and fulfill their need for the time being.
What I'm thinking about is why the statue is not placed in a surrounding where they could do surveillance on it through security cameras in the neighbourhood? Or they could install one for the statue itself. Maybe it was never of such importance to them, and whoever installed it, whether an individual or an organization, did it only to cash on the hype and get some publicity on Satoshi's and Bitcoin's name.
Because that is Satoshi and he is well known Bitcoin creator so there's huge possibilities that the one who stole it think about that there's something huge to get if he stole that symbol.
If the one who stole it is a Bitcoin user maybe he just think about that there's a like passphrase hidden inside that statue. You know curiosity strikes and they try to see if their suspicion is true or not.
Also its not good to point out always to those homeless that they automatically stole it since not all people in that status do that crime just to have money to buy food. Lots of them fight fair and try to earn simple living.
So there's huge possibilities that the assumption of these gentlemen out there is right because we know Satoshi is so famous and provably people around it have an idea about Bitcoin and who has been represented by that statue.
