I’m late to notice the competition existence when I create my account. Is it possible to participate even without using BCTalk ref code when I register?
Unfortunately, it isn't possible if 24 hours have passed already after your account creation.
You are allowed to enter the affiliate code manually within the first 24 hours of the account creation. In that case, you have to write the code in the 'enter referral code' section on your account page.
Perhaps he can ask BenLamb because it seems that he can do it manually as what he offered a help for similar case that happened to Mr. Magkaisa here.
Looking at the recent leaderboard, seems that it will be easier for participants to win a prize although it is smaller than the previous contest.
Seems that few thousands dollar wager can secure one of the top prizes and few tens dollar may win the lowest paid positions.
God of Thunder is currently on 12th position with $5 wager only and he may win $25 if no other participants come till the end of the contest
8 other lowest paid places is still not filled so basically the chance is quite high to win something with small wager but ofc better to wait till the last day(s) if the main target is just to be on these 11-20th positions.
