Heung-min Son had been saying for a long time that he wanted to go to MLS. With the recently confirmed news a couple of minutes ago, he has joined LAFC. He had played at the top level for many years at Spurs, but now it was time to move on. This will be a pleasant end to his career. The quality in the MLS is comfortable for players of his age. There's no Premier League pressure. They play for fun and also earn good salaries. Son made the right decision.
I think Son Heung-min made a very good decision by leaving Tottenham Hotspur this summer just after helping the club win their first major trophy in 17 years. For a player who's known to be pacy, staying at Tottenham at his current age will and fitness level will likely not end well between the player and the club management. In the MLS, he'll not be playing in a league that's energy demanding like the EPL. I saw where people were arguing today who was a better Tottenham Hotspur legend between Harry Kane and Son Heung-min and I simply told them that regardless of their goal contributions to the club which I know Kane would be ahead, we can't forget the fact that Kane left for Bayern Munich in his hunt to win a trophy while Son stayed and helped Tottenham fans experience the feeling of lifting a European trophy once again.
